Don Baird began his study of martial arts in 1962 and since then has spent his entire life honing his skills and knowledge. After producing several outstanding champions; Baird devoted himself to helping his community and was appointed technical advisor to a Southern California police department. Together with Officer Brent Ambrose; head of SWAT for a local California police department and one of the country’s most respected authorities in self defense training for police officers; he developed Hands On Police Defensive Tactics.
