Mizong Quan – Five Tigers Boxing – Form & Usage (2 Disks)

A much fiercer form than many of the others in this series. Every move is shown with a definite “tigerish” quality to the usage. Some spinning and throwing types of attacks. The whole range of Mi Zong is pretty big and this form is one of the more specifically targeted training types. Tiger claws are retained throughout, not common to Northern Fists. Double VCD

The flavor of Mi Zong is “indeterminate” with many changes, turns and reversals in this essentially Long Fist Northern Style. Rare in the West but very famous indeed in China.  The style was most popularly associated with Huo Yuan Chia the inspiration of TWO famous Kung Fu films: Bruce Lee’s Chinese Connection and Jet Li’s Fists of Legend. Master Huo was said to be fabulously strong and was picked to head the world-famous Ching Wu Association of ShangHai.
