Those familiar with arts like Karate and Kenpo will like this series. It shows the structure and movement of strong, fluid FuJian Southern Style motions. No doubt exists but Fu Jian area was one of the major inspirations for the creation of what we now called “Karate.” There is a nice flow to the movements and the demonstrator knows what he is doing. Each VCD in the series shows APPLICATIONS of the techniques. This branch of Southern Shaolin is known as Luo Han (LoHan) which signifies a disciple of Buddha. Luo Han is also a code word. It almost always refers to strong, direct techniques which might be described as the beginning of Shaolin as a specific style. Luo Han is something like “proto-Shaolin.” This holds true of this brisk, strong and no-nonsense style

Instructor: LIANG SHOU ZHONG is a good demonstrator interested in showing key points to the techniques. He has a very modern, positive approach to the information he shows. He is quick to point out key movements and concepts.
